Zayn Malik has just been slammed by tabloid talk show host Jeremy Kyle for breaking up with fiancée Perrie Edwards two weeks ago. The 50-year-old English radio and television presenter even called out the former One Direction member for doing a "cheap" act of splitting via text.
It appears that "The Jeremy Kyle Show" host was not pleased after learning how the 22-year-old former boyband member broke up with his girlfriend. And to let off steam, Kyle particularly targeted Malik in his latest Sun newspaper column.
"It shows something of the class of both of them that, despite her heartbreak, Perrie was back at work and facing the cameras - while, to cause the heartbreak, Zayn stayed hidden behind a cowardly text," Kyle wrote as quoted by Mirror.
Kyle then tagged Malik's method of breaking up as "cheap" and even singled out that the ex One Direction member has got some price to pay and this one won't come cheap.
"Breaking up by text is cheap but this one might just cost Zayn dear - about half of the £3million they just forked out on their little love nest, I reckon," Kyle noted, referencing the £3 million north London home the twosome recently bought.
The split was absolutely a shocker for the Little Mix member since she even posted a cute photo of her and Malik three weeks ago on social media. The snap was even captioned "Love ma man," People has learned.
On Friday, Edwards showed Malik that she is moving on by deleting all of Zayn's pics on her social media accounts. She even unfollowed the former 1D member on Instagram.
Edwards is said to be "devastated" over the breakup since Malik didn't offer to call off their engagement and end their relationship personally, but instead resorted to just informing Perrie that it's over through a text message sent two weeks ago.
While Perrie is dealing with the heartache Malik has caused her, the same cannot be said of Zayn, who even favorited Kylie Jenner's photos on Twitter and followed big sister Khloe Kardashian on the same social networking site, as per Daily Mail.
Both Malik and Edwards have yet to formally address the breakup.
The singing exes started dating in 2012 and they quickly got engaged in 2013.
