Teen Vogue Cover Boy Ansel Elgort News: ‘Divergent: Allegiant’ Star Is Talks EDM Master Moniker; Plus More Deets About Theo James Costar’s Tell-All!

"Divergent-Allegiant" star Ansel Elgort is gracing the cover of Teen Vogue for its September issue, and thee 21-year-old actor is looking charming as usual despite sporting a serious face. In his tell-all, Theo James co-actor shared some very interesting things about his past and the things that keep him going in reaching his dreams.

Unbeknownst to some, the "Fault In Our Stars" heartthrob is an EDM master, and he even dished some details about the friendship he shares with DJ Martin Garrix, who apparently wrote the article for the magazine.

"I love how you had no clue I was a DJ back then. When I went into the booth and started playing back-to-back, you were like, 'What the hell? Why is he playing with us?' Ansel said of his his first meet-up with Garrix, who inevitably became Elgort's friend, Jezebel has learned.

Shailene Woodley's "TFIOS" leading man even shared the "epic" night they spent in New York, saying: "We really became close after the first time you came over to my house in Brooklyn. We have a picture of it, all of us on the water, and I put my Knicks hat on you. That was the beginning of the friendship. We've been boys ever since. Then we played Pacha [a club in New York]. Oh, my God, that was epic."

Elgort also shared the origins of his DJ name Ansolo in his tell-all. He revealed that he was the one who came up with the name "Hanzolo" at first, but he figured that the moniker was "so bad" that even a school pal told him: "Dude, that's the stupidest name ever."

Thankfully, his pal suggested that he should use "Ansolo" as his DJ name instead, and he agreed that the latter sounds "cooler" than what he came up with, reported Just Jared.

What's very interesting about his interview though was when he gave a peculiar answer when asked about the best day of his life thus far.

"You know, it might be a weird actor thing, but I think of myself as a few different people. Like, I think of myself as Ansel - that's one person. And then I'm Ansel Elgort. That's another person. And then I'm Ansolo," Elgort said.

According to NZ City, the young actor then went on to say that for Ansel, the best day he had was when he and his family spent a daw on a Long Island beach. For Ansel Elgort, it was during his presentation at the Oscars, while for his Ansolo alter-ego, it's when his favorite DR Steve Angello played "Totem" for him for the first time. He even admitted that he cried and freaked out when this happened to Ansolo.

Speaking of the people who inspire him regularly and the best advice he ever got, Elgort said that Paul Newman, Marlon Brando, George Gershwin and Leonard Bernstein and many other "old-school people" serve as his inspiration.

For the best advice he's received, the "Insurgent" star said, "Do what you love in life; that's the most important thing. If you just do what you love and work really hard, you will be happy, and everything else will figure itself out." He said that he got this advice from his father.
