Though Lea Michele was happy in the recent past, she admitted on Thursday at the Television Critics Association press tour that she is "happier" now. The "Brunette Ambition" author notably said this two years after her "Glee" costar and real-life boyfriend Cory Monteith passed away.
Jamie Lee Curtis and Emma Roberts' "Scream Queens" costar told the press people from FOX411 present at the session in Beverly Hills, "I couldn't be happier in my life right now," Fox News reported.
The 28-year-old "Glee" lead actress, who two years ago suffered major heartbreak after onscreen and real-life boyfriend Cory Monteith passed away at 31, has apparently moved on.
She went on to say, "I think I've done a really good job where I try to keep my life as private as possible."
Michele admitted that she feels very happy and strong in her life right now. She maintained that having a grounded home life helps in making her do what she does best in her career.
The "Cannonball" hitmaker revealed that through the trying times her "supportive" friends have always stayed by her side and she feels lucky knowing she has them in her life, as per The Sundaily.
"I feel like I've been really lucky to have found such a great group of girlfriends. I feel like competition and negativity grow hate - it's such a common thing that you see - and I'm so grateful to have such a strong, supportive group of girls around me," Lea Michele was quoted as saying the same publication.
Speaking of girl pals, her new show "Scream Queens" is something to look forward to since it is a mixture of comedy and horror the chronicles teen angst and whatnot in an environment that follows the college Greek life system.
Speaking of the show, UPI quoted Michele as saying, "It's a completely different world in horror, it's a lot more difficult. This is challenging working with a balance of comedy and horror."
Apart from Michele, Roberts and Curtis, the show also stars Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Ariana Grande, Skylar Samuels, Diego Boneta, Nasim Pedrad and many more.
"Scream Queens" is premiering on Fox this fall on Sept. 22.
