Considered as the nicest guy in the NBA, Jeremy Lin is one of the most influential people in the world. Currently the point guard of the Charlotte Hornets, Lin is not the typical athlete who is just surrounded by groupies. But even though he seems to be a wonderful man, why does Lin remain to have a zero lovelife?
While it has been previously reported in 2014 that Jeremy Lin has been shopping for an engagement ring, the 26-year-old professional basketball superstar is still single and perhaps ready to mingle as well.
So, for all his lady fans out there, here are the 5 reasons why Jeremy Lin would be a great boyfriend.
1. Jeremy Lin is not the type who will trash talk or be rude to anyone.
Lin is hardly involved in a verbal clash or act in an unruly way. According to Movie News Guide, it is not in his nature to shame people.
2. Jeremy Lin is a sweet guy.
Lin has confirmed that he is single and not dating anybody. But a friend from Harvard hinted his sweetness and told GQ three years ago about making up for his mistakes when his Valentine's Day plans with his girlfriend in college failed.
"Jeremy forgot to make reservations on Valentine's Day once, and had to save the day with some homemade chicken parm," his friend told the magazine.
3. Jeremy Lin is helpful and caring.
"We walk past this homeless guy, and I would've just ignored him," his friend said about one particular incident where Lin helped a homeless guy, JobsnHire quoted. "But [Jeremy] goes up to him and asks, 'Hey man, what do you want?' And he gets him a double-double and an order of fries."
4. Aside for being a Harvard alumnus, Jeremy Lin is an evangelical Christian and was the leader of the Asian American Christian Fellowship during his time in the Ivy League university.
"I've surrendered that to God," Lin said about his NBA success and playing without pressure. "I'm not in a battle with what everybody else thinks anymore."
Because of his faith, Lin hopes to become a pastor who can head up non-profit organizations, either at home or abroad. He has also talked of working in inner-city communities to help with underprivileged children.
5. Jeremy Lin has a strong relationship with Jesus Christ.
"The key to real success isn't about me-it's about Jesus," Lin said, Christian Today quoted. "That's what I learned in the last season: Success doesn't work around my little circle. That was possibly the toughest year of my life. But one thing, to me, was that it really drew me closer to Christ. Sometimes you have to lose something to see and appreciate what you really have."
During the an interview at the Hong Kong's Chinese University, Christian Post noted that Lin was asked about marriage and simply answered that it's all part of God's plan.
"This will be God's arrangement," he said. "I have no idea now."
While Lin has been outspoken about his faith for years, he has managed to keep his personal life private. And aside from being a successful basketball player, Jeremy Lin was a TV analyst at an $18 million eSports tournament, International Dota 2 Championships 2015, as per Bleacher Report.
