Sofia Vergara will be teaching kids a lesson on "The Simpsons" as it has been revealed that she will be Bart's new and very attractive teacher.
The actress, who is best known for playing the role of Gloria in the series "Modern Family," has just recorded the role of Mrs. Berrera in the episode entitled "Teenage Mutant Milk-Caused Hurdles," which is sheduled to air in the middle of season 27 starting Sept. 27, Entertainment Weekly reported.
In the episode, Bart reportedly experiences early puberty and grows a little mustache as well as feelings for his teacher after he starts drinking a milk substitute loaded with bad hormones.
"She's more forgiving than Mrs. Krabappel was of Bart," Simpsons executive producer Al Jean hinted about the bombshell's character. "She pays special attention to him."
Mrs. Berrera becomes a subject of romantic rivalry when Principal Skinner also sets his eyes and heart on her, The Sydney Morning Herald has learned.
"We thought it'd be interesting if both Bart and Skinner have a crush on the same woman," Jean explained. "She feels Skinner is a wounded soul that she wants to take care of. She is a vet like Skinner, and that's his attraction."
And while Vergara's role in "The Simpsons" won't be a regular one, Jean noted that the actress is very much welcome to return for future episodes. "We have a situation where Bart doesn't have a regular teacher," he said referring to Mrs. Krabappel's death (Actress Marcia Wallace, who voiced Mrs. Krabappel, died in 2013), "so she may or may not come back."
"[Sofia] was really funny and we were glad to have her," he added. "And as she said, 'I'm just 100 yards away on the Fox lot.'"
Meanwhile, Colombia-born star, who had previously voiced characters in animated comedies such as "The Cleveland Show" and "Family Guy," is set to tie the knot with hunky fiancé Joe Manganiello on Nov. 22, according to PopSugar.
