Jason Momoa Is Aquaman! 5 Facts That Make ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ Star Interesting [PHOTOS]

Jason Momoa, a Native Hawaiian, is set to portray Arthur Curry aka Aquaman in his solo outing in 2018 as part of the DC Cinematic Universe. Before that though, Aquaman will make a cameo in Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and the forthcoming "Justice League Part 1."

Here are 5 facts that makes Jason Momoa interesting:

1. It takes a lot of effort to portray a superhero. As such Jason Momoa needs someone to push him in maintaining the physique and toughness that the role requires. Luckily, he has "WWE Tough Enough" star Mada Abdelhamid at his side.

Bleacher Report revealed that Mada was the personal trainer of Momoa in the upcoming movie "The Bad Batch" which stars Keanu Reeves and Jim Carrey that will come out next year. Mada will also join Jason on the set of "Justice League Part 1" and "Aquaman." Mada said he and the 36-year-old actor push each other when they worked out.

2. Jason Momoa actively took part in protests against the building of a thirty meter telescope on top of Hawaii's sacred Mauna Kea. He has started a campaign via his Instagram account where his friends or co-stars posted their pictures with the words "We Are Mauna Kea." 

Some of those who have responded to his calls were former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger, who is of Hawaiian descent, "Vampire Diaries" actor Ian Somerhalder, Rosario Dawson, "Suicide Squad" star Jai Courtney and Brandon Routh, as per Indian Country Today Media Network.com.

Perhaps what caught the public's eye was Jason Momoa's muscular physique, deep powerful voice and towering height which earned him often the warrior role such as the famous character of Khal Drogo in HBO's "Game of Thrones," Conan in "Conan The Barbarian" and of course Ronon Dex in the sci-fi TV series "StarGate: Atlantis," as per IMDb.
