John Brown, a news anchor for the Fox Network's "Good Day Orlando," walked out during a live broadcast right before a report about the Kardashians came up.
The incident was caught on tape and a video of it is currently making its rounds online.
During the broadcast, Brown was sitting with his co-anchor Amy Kaufeldt. But, almost immediately after seeing the next headline, which was about Kim Kardashian's step sister Kylie Jenner, Brown stood up and stormed off set, according to the Huffington Post.
The report was about the young Jenner naming her new pet rabbit after her father Bruce.
But, the anchor refused to be involved in the report and left Kaufeldt in front of the camera. However, Brown forgot to turn off his mic after walking out and his rants against the highly covered celebrity family were clearly heard in the video.
"I'm having a good Friday, so I refuse to talk about the Kardashians," he said. "You are on your own, Amy. I can't do it, I've had enough Kardashians! I can't take any more Kardashians on this show!"
To ease the tension on the set, another male anchor rushed in to accompany Kaufeldt. Jenny Castillo, the show's guest correspondent and host of the Rumba 1003 radio program, tried to explain to Brown the relevance of the report, Fox News has learned.
She told the anchor that the story is about a daughter naming her new beloved pet after her father.
However, Brown still refused to return to his post and continued his outburst against the Kardashians, US Magazine reported.
"I don't care," he said. "I'm sick of this family! It's a non-story. We are talking about this family every freaking day on this show. Nobody cares about this family anymore! I've had enough!"
A few minutes later, Brown finally calmed down and joined his co-anchor on the set. He then issued a public apology for his meltdown through his Facebook page. Although he admitted that he felt better after ranting, he said that his outburst was meant as a joke.
