Peyton Manning, Tom Brady Rift Is Non-Existent Despite Email Diss Controversy

Despite the emergence of Tom Brady's controversial emails that contained statements dissing Peyton Manning, the Denver Broncos quarterback still maintains a friendly relationship with the New England Patriots quarterback. Or could this be just for show given that the two athletes are squaring off in Week 12?

A couple of week's ago, Brady's scandalous emails were revealed publicly amid the Deflategate controversy. Apart from his diva-esque demands, Brady's emails also contained some quite shocking details on how Gisele Bündchen's husband viewed his NFL rival in the past, as per CBS Local.

In the transcript of emails he exchanged with a friend, Brady was noted to have singled out that while he has seven or eight more years to enjoy his NFL career, Manning only has two left, giving him the advantage of longevity in the sport and an advantage of making the most out of his QB status for a longer period of time.

Brady was also quoted to have said that Manning is already in the "final chapter" of his career before adding that the Broncos superstar relies on so many things in order to lead his team to a victory.

Since the emails surfaced, many were stunned and wondered how Manning would react to Brady's emails. On Wednesday, the 39-year-old player finally addressed the statements of the 38-year-old footballer.

Surprisingly, the Broncos QB revealed that he sees "no harm, no foul" in Brady's emails. He told ESPN: "Everybody has been speculating on that for a long time, so I guess he's joining the list of trying to predict. Hey, Tom sent me an apology text that was unnecessary. The fact his emails got revealed, that doesn't make a lot of sense to me."

Manning also went as far as revealing that he's had worse things thrown at him saying: "I have been roasted. That wasn't a roast," Fox Sports has learned.

"I can promise you that e-mail was amateur night compared to some of the things that were said about me," Manning, who is considered the oldest player on the Broncos' team, finally said.

Manning's statement comes before he and Brady are bound to square off in Denver in Week 12.
