‘Captain America: Civil War' Cast Flew From Germany For D23 Expo; First Footage Unveiled, Teases Members Of ‘Avengers’ Taking Side

"Captain America: Civil War" cast Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie made an appearance on-stage at Disney's D23 Expo, where the first footage of the film was unveiled Saturday.

Evans, who plays the role of Captain A, and Anthony Mackie, who plays the role of Falcon, flew all the way straight from Germany, where the movie is in its last week of filming, as per the report on Yahoo News.

The trailer showed the growing rift between Captain A and Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr. It was over a program that required superheroes to register with the government, with Tony Stark supporting it and Steve Rogers disagreeing with it.

The footage of "Captain America: Civil War" teased fans by showing members of Avengers taking sides. According to Time, Falcon, Black Widow, played by Scarlet Johansson, and Scarlet Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen, are siding with Captain A.

Meanwhile, War Machine, played by Don Cheadle, and Hawk Eye, played by Jeremy Renner, reportedly follow Iron Man, in the new movie.

Spider-man, who reportedly will make his Marvel debut in "Captain America: Civil War," did not appear in the trailer. Instead, Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther, Paul Rudd's Ant-Man, Martin Freeman, Paul Bettany and Emily VanCamp made their appearances.

There was a scene where Captain A said, "We fight," after someone asked him what they should do. Based from the description on the report of i09, Cap, Falcon, Black Widow, Bucky and a few others were seen running across an airport tarmac.

It was followed by quick, close cuts of fight scenes, and then a scene where Hawk Eye was choking Black Widow showed up. The clip ended with Scott Lang talking to Captain A and Scarlet Witch.

Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, said that "Captain America: Civil War" is the end of the "Captain America" trilogy.

Feige continued, saying that it was a culmination of everything that came before in the Cinematic Universe, and that the movie marked the beginning of the third phase of the MCU.

"Captain America: Civil War" is scheduled to be released on May 6, 2016.
