Grammy Award winner Rihanna got the shock of her life when Memphis Grizzlies guard Matt Barnes claimed in an ambush interview by TMZ that the two of them were dating. That "dating" statement, apparently a fabrication, did not set well with Badgalriri that she took to Instagram to rebut his claim and posted "#shesnotthatintoyou" among other hashtags meant for Barnes.
According to SB Nation, Matt Barnes was cornered by TMZ after a softball game and quizzed him about rumors that he's dating the Barbados native, Rihanna. He answered that they may "possibly" have a future together. If his answer has taken you aback, that's because it may not be the truth, since Rihanna has been seen dating Lewis Hamilton these past few months.
This lie spun by the athlete prompted the "Monster" hitmaker to put on blast for all her Instagram followers totalling to 24.5 million that she does not agree with what he said.
E! News reported that rumors that the two were dating sparked recently after the basketball player from Memphis made it known that he liked the "Diamonds" singer. He even posted a few months ago on Instagram that she was his #WCW (Woman Crush Wednesday).
Gloria Govan, his ex-wife apparently gave her the thumbs up on his budding relationship with RiRi — as long as she gets concert tickets on her performances.
Well, sad to say, Rihanna just burst his bubble. Badgalriri declared she has never met him!
Badgalriri posted on her Instagram account a screenshot of Matt Barnes taken from the TMZ video clip and wrote the following hashtags, "#bishwhere #thedevilisaliar #shesnotthatintoyou #shesnotintoyouatall #shesneverevenmetyou #thisactuallyhurtmyfeelings #defamationofcharacter," that dissed and rebutted his statements.

As for Sports Illustrated, Rihanna calling Barnes' innuendos of them dating as "#defamationofcharacter" should be a clear indication that this supposedly relationship won't take off the ground.
Whatever Matt Barnes' reason for his public statements, Rihanna won't let it pass by without speaking her mind on the matter.
