"Dancing with the Stars" Season 21 is about to premiere in just a month and news about the upcoming reality dance showdown have been buzzing the online world lately. And with the recent news of the cast list being confirmed, "DWTS" fans expressed their interesting sentiments online.
On Sept. 14, an all-star cast of celebrities is expected to showcase their dancing skills in "Dancing with the Stars" and fans are getting excited. However, some aren't really thrilled about the names of the celebs who were rumored to join the cast. As posted on its official Facebook page, the new cast will be announced on Sept. 2, but one name has been repeatedly mentioned that fans don't want to see in the upcoming season of the hit ABC dance reality showdown.
According to "DWTS" fans, they don't want Caitlyn Jenner to join the upcoming season of the show. While the speculations of Jenner to be on the show have already been denied by her publicist as International Business Times reported, she was still rumored to be on the cast list.
"There is not nor have there ever been any negotiations on this matter," Jenner's publicist told ET Online last month. "They inquired if she was interested in participating in the show and I said, 'No, thank you.' That is the extent of the communication."
Since "Dancing with the Stars" Season 21 is just around the corner, People exclusively reveal the first glimpse at the new season with a hot pink-and-black poster. The print media advertisement features "DWTS" Season 20 pro dancers Peta Murgatroyd, who competed with the NFL's Michael Sam, and Artem Chigvintsev, who was Patti LaBelle's partner, in a dazzlingly sultry ballroom pose.
Meanwhile, as "Dancing with the Stars" Season 21 is about to premiere, executive producer Rob Wade promised the fans that they will continue to take risks in the show's upcoming season. As per Movie News Guide, its 21st season will take greater risks through themes, competitions and challenges.
"We had a really fantastic season last season with new ideas like 'Judges' Choice,' so that gives us [the push] to take greater risks in our themes and competitions and challenges," he recently said during a press event.
Wade also revealed that the show will be bringing back the fan-favorite "DWTS" routine of "Switch Up," where pro dancers will switch celeb partners for one episode. And when it comes with the casting of the show, Wade and co-executive producer Deena Katz revealed that the list is almost complete.
"We're about 4/5 of the way there," they revealed. "We like to be around since we're a very current show. The premiere of the show is still over a month and a half away, which is a long time. So you want to see [who might want to join the show]."
Since fans seemed to hate the idea of Caitlyn Jenner joining "Dancing with the Stars" Season 21, who do you think will dance next in the ultimate dance reality showdown?
