Vin Diesel seem to spilled the beans in the recent "Teen Choice Awards" by revealing the title for the upcoming "Fast and Furious" movie as "Fast 8."
While the previous film "Furious 7" received the "Choice Movie" for action category, its main actor and the late Paul Walker also won a posthumous award for being the "Choice Movie Actor." Upon receiving the award, Walker's co-star Diesel served as the representative and paid tribute to the demised winner.
"I love all of you. I love all of you, and until 'Fast 8,'" he remarkably said at the end of his speech and after giving recognition to Walker's daughter, Comic Book reported.
With that being dropped, the movie's production team might be choosing the title for marketing purposes. As its predecessors focused on the short and simple titles as well like "Fast Five" in 2011, "Fast and the Furious 6" in 2013 and the latest "Furious 7," Cinema Blend noted.
The source also noted that when Walker was still alive, he suggested that it should be called "F8" or simply "Fate." We still need to wait for further news if one of those will be incorporated to its official title.
As for its cast and crew, the site revealed that aside from Vin Diesel, some of the main characters will be reprising their roles including Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris and Tyrese. Actor Kurt Russell was also believed to be coming back; however, Jordana Brewster might not be joining the movie this time.
On the other hand, actress Eve Mendes is rumored to be returning to the film, as Independent reported.
The upcoming movie is expected to deliver another action-packed adventure, given the fact that "Furious 7" became the third highest grossing film of all time with $1.5 billion global net worth, preceding the movies "Avatar" and "Titanic."
"Fast and Furious 8" or "Fast 8" will kick off on the big screen on Apr. 14, 2017.
