First Look At Chris Hemsworth's 'Ghostbusters' Role Reveals Some Action For 'Thor' Actor

Clad in a boiler jumpsuit and a weird-looking motorbike, "Thor" star Chris Hemsworth still wowed the small crowd on the set of 'Ghostbusters" to be released July 22 next year.

It seems that the photo of the Australian heartrob that circulated the internet early this week assured fans of the upcoming film that the actor's role would not be limited to taking calls and paperwork unlike the character of Annie Pots in the original version of the film from where Hemsworth present character is based on, according to SlashFilm.

The new installment of the successful franchise revamped the original plot and chose a set of an all-girl lead cast with Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon. Hemsworth is bound to act as the secretary to the squad.

According to Vanity Fair, the Ghostbusters team went to Hemsworth early in the process of casting but the actor initially turned it down because the role offered to him was too small. Sony then rewrote the script in order to increase the weight of the Hemsworth's role to the whole story. Evidently, Aussie hunk will get the royalty he deserves as the character seems to be involved in some serious motorcycle action.

Meanwhile the 32-year-old actor/dad spent some time to away from work during the weekend as he spent quality time with wife Elsa Pataky, 39, and their kids who made a surprise visit to the actor by flying to Boston just four days before his birthday.

According to People, onlookers saw the family enjoying themselves like tourists as they visited one of the city's most famous spots, the Swan Boats. Hemsworth was caught following his three year-old daughter India Rose as she went running around in circles. The happy family also visited the Public Garden's scenic bridge later that day.
