NBC is gearing up for "The Voice" Season 9 premiere in September and it has gathered a bevy of talented singers who will join the four celebrity judges which includes Adam Levine, Pharrell, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, who will take over Christina Aguilera's red chair.
International Business Times reported that Selena Gomez will be Gwen Stefani's celebrity adviser. She will help the rocker singer select and coach a batch of hopeful singers within the competition.
The "Good for You" singer's exposure in "The Voice" will help advertise her "Revival" album which will be released on Oct. 9.
Taylor Swift's BFF will join Rihanna on the show but the "Diamonds" singer will advise all four judges as opposed to Gomez's being exclusive to Team Stefani.
Meanwhile, Access Hollywood talked to both Gwen Stefani and Selena Gomez to ask them about their "The Voice" Season 9 collaboration.
Stefani said, "It's so fun being on the show. It's so inspiring," referring to her return after taking a break in Season 8.
She also discussed the benefit of working with a young pop star like Selena has assisted her in regaining a new perspective after being in the business for decades.
"It's just incredible to me to think of somebody that's been doing it since they were a child, like it's hard to understand it," Gwen said of the Disney alum.
"The dedication and the years that she's put in and to only be so young but have so much experience is kind of incredible," she continued, expounding that Selena's early beginnings in showbiz has probably aided her in finding a more concrete ground than most of her generation.
"I feel like I can feel her energy and like what she's doing right now, she's really blossoming and really coming to her own," said Gwen. "She's like really being honest and finding herself."
"I'm learning a lot being here. I've been in a transition period with my music, so it is, like [Gwen] said, inspiring," Selena detailed about her "The Voice" experience.
She continued, "I love being in the presence of women, especially women who are so comfortable in their own skin and support other women."
In other news, according to Entertainment Weekly, the "Come and Get It" hitmaker shared to "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" about her latest album, "I'm very confident in this record and you can hear it. But I'm vulnerable, I'm real, and I think it just shows a different side of me, and I'm really excited, and I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders."
"The Voice" Season 9 will premiere on NBC on Sept. 21.
