Blue Bell Ice Cream's Mouthwatering Goodness Will Be Tasted Again When It Hits Shelves On August 31

Blue Bell ice cream's mouthwatering goodness is making a comeback! Rejoice, ice cream lovers, as Blue Bell Creameries declared that its first shipment will dispatch on August 31 to "select markets," around four months after the company was forced to broadcast a nationwide recall after a Listeria contamination.

Blue Bell reopened production in late July at its improved Alabama creamery while Oklahoma and Texas facilities remain shut down pending additional upgrades, as per Time.

Blue Bell's vice president of sales and marketing, Ricky Dickson said in a press release, "Over the past several months we have been working to make our facilities even better, and to ensure that everything we produce is safe, wholesome and of the highest quality for you to enjoy."

According to ABC 13 Eyewitness News, the Blue Bell ice cream that will find its way to retail shelves will be produced at Blue Bell's facility in Alabama. There's no update yet if when the Brenham Creamery will be given a go signal to resume ice cream production. Imported products from Alabama are being held at the Blue Bell Creameries' five distribution headquarters in the Houston area.

For now, production remained limited, so flavor choice will be smaller, pending the reopening of other facilities.

Date has not been set for Phases 2 to 5 yet, however here are some of the details.

Phase Two: Southern Oklahoma and North central Texas

Phase Three: Central Oklahoma and Southwest Texas

Phase Four: Southern Louisiana and the majority of Texas

Phase Five: Complete the states of Alabama, Texas and Oklahoma and begin distribution in Arkansas, northern Louisiana and Mississippi and Florida, . This phase will only consist of portions of the subsequent states: Georgia, South Carolina, Missouri, New Mexico,Kentucky, North Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee.

Blue Bell Creameries' resumption of limited distribution of Blue Bell ice cream will be a symbolic step in the company's rehabilitation effort after recalling all merchandises last April, as per The Wall Street Journal.
