"Warcraft" gamers and enthusiasts have been excited for the movie adaptation of the game, and they can further rejoice with the fact that there is an official release date. Also, its official trailer has allegedly been leaked.
The official release of the upcoming "Warcraft" movie will be on June 10, 2016, Design&Trend reported. The film adaptation will focus on the events of the previous "Warcraft: Orcs and Humans" PC strategy game in 1994 than the familiar MMO "World of Warcraft."
While the main focus will be between "Orcs and Humans", IGN also provided chunks of information regarding its development.
The movie was supposed to be directed by Sam Raimi. However, Warcraft's creator Blizzard did not agree with the director's plan to "paint Horde Orcs in a bad light," so Raimi left the production. He was replaced later by director Duncan Jones.
As for the characters, several actors and actresses were confirmed to join the much awaited movie.
For "The Human Alliance," Travis Fimmel will be playing as the leader Anduin Lothar. Dominic Cooper is going to be King Llane Wrynn, Dylan Schombing is Prince Varian Wrynn, the King's son and Ruth Negga is Lady Taria Wrynn, Queen of Stormwind, whose character was created just for the film.
Meanwhile, "The Orcs of the Horde" consist of Toby Kebbell as Durotan, main character of the Horde, Anna Galvin as Draka, Durotan's wife, Clancy Brown as Blackhand the Destroyer and leader of the Horde and Rob Kazinsky as Orgrim Doomhammer, the side's tactician.
Those were the actors and characters that was cited, to name a few.
In addition to that, make-up artist Richard Taylor told the Venture Capital Post that the production uses real weapons in the movie.
Much has been revealed but its official trailer is not yet available for the public. While the clip was shown during the recent Comic Con in San Diego, a leaked copy of its teaser is now available on Youtube.
The trailer viewed here is of a breakdown by YouTube user Emergency Awesome, since the official trailer itself is not publicly available.
