Michael Schumacher's children seem to be successful in their chosen careers" his daughter, 19-year-old Gina Schumacher, might be aiming to be a professional equestrian and his son, 16-year-old Mick Schumacher, might want to be a racer, just like him.
Gina Schumacher wowed the audience on the recent European equestrian championship last Friday, Straitstimes reported. Her demonstration showcased her saddling talents with a seven year-old stallion Sharp Dressed Shiner.
After the event, Germany coach Nico Hoermann complimented Gina, saying that she has a bright future in the field. On the other hand, her manager, Sabine Kehm, said that there is a probability that Gina might want to be a professional equestrian someday. Notably, Michael Schumacher's daughter is "the world's top ranked junior."
Meanwhile, her younger brother Mick, competed in a Formula Four Race. After graduating from the go karting circuit, he was ranked 15th out of 26 racers, with four races remaining this season.
Despite Michael's condition, his wife Corinna showed full support for both of their kids, the Daily Mail noted. Their mother reportedly appeared publicly to watch Gina's demonstration and Mick's competition. Her husband, a highly acclaimed Formula One Champion is still recovering after a severe injury from a skiing incident in the French Alps in 2013.
In other news, his rival and another Formula One Champion racer Mika Hakkinen recently recalled his 2000 Belgian Gran Prix battle with Schumacher, Latino Post cited. Known as the greatest rival in history, Hakkinen reminisced the best moments he shared with the recovering racer.
"My most memorable Belgian Grand Prix was undoubtedly the 2000 race. I had won the world championship in both 1998 and 1999, and in 2000 my McLaren-Mercedes was as quick as ever," Hakkinen said.
Additionally, he detailed his experience on how Schumacher was able to defeat him, but in the end, they both gained respect for each other.
As for Michael Schumacher, there are still no specific reports regarding his condition. But a source said that his medical expenses went up to $150,000 per week due to 24/7 monitoring.
