The second season of "How To Get Away With Murder" is just around the corner, and fans are getting more and more excited to know how the show will continue the story from Rebecca's death.
Showrunner Pete Nowalk teased some deets on the repercussions not just of Rebecca's murder but as well as Sam's and Lila's. At the same time, he also shared how they are preparing for Connor and Oliver's love story.
"It doesn't go away," he said during his interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "Just like anything in our show, I don't want anything to be forgotten."
"Just like Sam's murder, Lila's murder — yes they're dead, but the consequences of that continue to reverberate," he continued. "The same is going to happen with Rebecca."
He added that Rebecca would still play a big part in "How To Get Away With Murder" season 2, even though she's already dead, International Business Times has learned.
Meanwhile, another big revelation that happened in "How To Get Away With Murder" season 1 was the condition of Oliver, played by Conrad Ricamora. Since it has been revealed that Connor's, played by Jack Falahee, boyfriend is HIV-positive, Nowalk was asked if they are working with GLAAD on that story.
He confirmed with The Hollywood Reporter that they are. They wanted to make sure that they are telling an honest, genuine story, so they are also consulting other people.
"It's a story we're excited to tell because it feels fresh and like something I want to see on TV," he teased. "Conrad is still in a Broadway play on The King & I so he's not a series regular but we have ways to incorporate him into the show."
In terms of meeting people's expectations, Nowalk said that he was hoping it will feel real to the characters since it can't represent everyone, Heavy reported. He didn't want to say anything about it because a lot of the show is surprising people's expectations, especially how they handle things.
"How To Get Away With Murder" season 2 premieres Sept. 24 on ABC, together with Shonda Rhimes' other series — "Grey's Anatomy" and "Scandal."
