Fyf Fest 2015: Kanye West-Frank Ocean Feud? Yeezy Replaces Frank Ocean After Cancelling Performance

Yeezy to the rescue! It has been reported that Kim Kardashian's hubby and rapper Kanye West will be the new headliner for the highly anticipated Fyf Festival on Saturday, replacing Frank Ocean. Could this event cause a feud between the two artists?

Definitely no; Ocean might have another commitment as he reportedly cancelled his performance for the festival to "his own terms," according to LAist. Fyf Festival released the statement on Thursday, just more than 48 hours prior to the 2-day event which will be at the Los Angeles Sports Arena and Exposition Park on Aug. 22 and 23.

Aside from Ocean, American four-piece indie rock band, Deerhunter, cancelled their appearance as well. Fortunately, "!!!" will take their slot.

As for Ocean's fans, they might be frustrated upon hearing the news, Los Angeles Times noted. According to the site, they have been waiting for the singer's next single since the release of "Channel Orange" in 2012.

Notably, one of Ocean's representative said that an album will be reportedly released on July, citing the artist himself. But nothing happened, to no avail.

On the other hand, Kanye West has been busy in his musical career aside from being a family man to Kim Kardashian and their daughter North. While a 2nd baby is on the way, a new album is believed to be on works as well.

Meanwhile, the much awaited Fyf Festival features several independent and mainstream artists of the United States. Aside from Yeezy headlining the first night, artist Morrissey will be the 2nd night's starter.

Other musicians that will be performing on the event are Bloc Party,The Jesus and Mary Chain, Belle and Sebastian, and FKA Twigs to name a few.

Ticket prices, reservations and festival information can be found on their website.

Apart from the Fyf Festival, readers who would like to explore upcoming events in the Southern California may have to look at NBC Los Angeles's report.
