'Finding Dory' Latest News: Pixar Movie Release Date, Plot & More Revealed

Dory is finally back! The zealous fish that sidetracked the lead characters of Pixar's "Finding Nemo" will now be starring in her own titular sequel of the hit animated film. The movie will be released on June 17, 2016.

According to Junior College, "Finding Dory" will revolve around the story of the regal blue tang's discovery that she remembered having a family. Now that Marlin and Nemo are safe and sound together, it's now their turn to join Dory in her search for her family.

Comedian-host Ellen DeGeneres will reprise her role behind the voice of the tang with short-term memory. Other recurring voices would be that of Albert Brooks who played Marlin, Willem Dafoe as Gill and Vicki Lewis who voiced for Deb. On the other hand, Alexander Gould has had a deepened voice since playing Nemo 12 years earlier and will now be replaced by Hayden Rolence, Cross Map said in an update.

Despite the sequel being released over a decade after Nemo, the movie plot would be portrayed just about six months after Marlin and Nemo's reconciliation. New characters would also be introduced in the animated film with the respected Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy voicing behind Dory's parents Jenny and Charlie, plus the addition of Ty Burrell's beluga whale character Bailey and Ed O'Neil, as septapus (an octopus missing one arm) Hank.

Kaitlin Olson would also be heard as Dory's adoptive whale shark sister along with the cast's vocal ensemble that includes unnamed roles from Idris Elba and Dominic West, as per Cinema Blend.

Meanwhile Ellen has remarked in the Disney D23 Expedition event that the movie's aim is to tell people that fish should be in the ocean and that there is a great need to protect the environment by rehabilitating fishand putting them back in their home.

Nemo director Andrew Stanton would also come back in this much awaited sequel.
