'Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice' Updates: Zod Returns? Actor Michael Shannon Drops Spoilers

Zod is dead, right? Those who watched "Man of Steel" will testify that Zod has already been killed by the caped crusader. But the villain might be back for the upcoming movie "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice." Let's find out how.

Looking at the film's official teaser, General Zod's body can only be seen on a laboratory table. But according to USA Today, actor Michael Shannon somehow hinted that Zod's return might be essential not just for Lex Luthor, but for the film's storyline.

Rumor has it that Luthor might acquire The Kryptonian's powers to create Doomsday. As for the traditional comic book, Doomsday is a formidable creature who kills Superman.

Well, perhaps, or it might be that Lex Luthor is just doing some sort of experiment to his deceased body. However, we still need to find out once the movie kicks off in theaters.

As for its official release, it has been reported that it was moved from May 2016 to March 25, 2016.

Warner Brother's CEO Kevin Tsujihara explained the reason for reshuffling as he told Coming Soon, "It was a tough decision at the time because it was going to create a hole in 2015."

But he noted confidently that he watched the movie several times and the decision to move the launch date for an earlier spot is just right.

It has been a long wait since the release of "Man of Steel" in 2014, but Gamespot noted that DC might want to test the waters against its rival movies in Marvel Cinematic Universe, such as "Captain America: Civil War." Aside from "Batman V Superman," much awaited DC films like "Suicide Squad," "Wonder Woman" and "Aquaman" are on its way for production.

Aside from that, Shannon also shared some funny experiences while filming some of his scenes.

"I was in my costume, and I couldn't use my fingers because in the sequel I have flippers instead of hands. So I had these wax flippers on my fingers, and I couldn't open the door, and I could hear Zack (Snyder) being like, 'Where's Shannon? Where the (expletive) is he?' as he revealed on his interview with Vulture, as quoted from USA Today.

He continued explaining that he was eagerly knocking at the door but to no avail, the flippers made it hard for him to get noticed by the production crew.

"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will featuue Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot and many more.
