'Suicide Squad' UPDATE: Ike Barinholtz As Doctor Strange? [RUMORS]

Q Comic book readers and film enthusiasts seem excited upon the news about the upcoming DC movie "Suicide Squad."While the characters and villains have been revealed, there is one left that director David Ayer might be keeping a secret.

However, some reports suggest that Ike Barinholtz's role might be the formidable villain Doctor Strange. What does Barinholtz has to say about this?

"The Mindy Project" star hinted that his role is going to be explosive, according to the Den Of Geek.

"I can tell you my character in that movie is someone you would not want at your house for dinner. He's a very troubled human being," he said.

As intriguing as it gets, Cinema Blend cited his statement as a basis that he might be playing either Doctor Strange or Hannibal "Everyman" Bates.

The metaphorical side of his statement suggested that his character might be a highly disturbing one. Going back to the traditional Batman mythology, Doctor Strange is a deranged professional who knows the secret identity of Bruce Wayne/Batman. The insane doctor has been always a threat to Gotham's superhero.

The site also noted that "someone you would not want at your house for dinner" might be literal. This could mean that the villain is a cannibal; referring to Hannibal "Everyman" Bates. The other cannibal has already been dropped, which is Killer Croc played by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. So, Everyman is still possible.

While conclusion is still under the wraps, let's wait for the movie's official release.

In other news, Jared Leto seems to take his Joker character seriously, even off the screen. News from Comic Book revealed that the "Thirty Seconds to Mars" frontman has been sending odd presents to his fellow "Suicide Squad" co-stars.

Recently, Leto gave his co-villain Margot Robbie, also known as Harley Quinn, an alive and kicking rat. This time, it was Jay Hernandez, who plays Chato Santana/El Diablo who received a creepy gift.

The gift, a picture of which was posted on Instagram, was a crafted basket with a set of cards that ensembles the joker card on top, a mysteriously crumpled broadsheet and a personal letter encapsulated in an envelope.

"My dear friend The Joker gave me a gift...inside is a glimpse into the mind of a mad man," cited as the photo caption. Way to go, Joker.

"Suicide Squad" hits theaters on Aug. 5, 2016.
