The release of the new MacBook Pro 2016 was reportedly delayed. According to News Everyday's report, Apple will be focusing more on its iPad Pro.
There are also speculations that the company delayed its release due to shortage of supply. Now, the MacBook Air and Pro 2016 will reportedly have the same release date with Apple TV and iMac.
Details for its release and the reason why the Macbook Pro 2016 was delayed are yet to be confirmed by Apple. Since its launched was prolonged, many are thinking that there will be changes in the specs of the professional notebook.
Leaks did not reveal much information, but the current talk of the town — it is what everybody's looking forward to see, actually — is Intel's Sixth Generation Skylake. According to reports, this chip's processing performance and power efficiency were improved, and the graphics performance was enhanced.
The early models had Nvidia GeForce GT970M, but the latest 15-inch MacBook Pro sports AMD Radeon R9 M370X graphics. However, if the information leaked to Techradar by a source were true, this might just change in the future.
The specifics of Skylake nor the integrated Gen9 graphics were not entirely disclosed by Intel. However, during the IDF 2015, Intel made an announcement that the Gen9 graphics of Skylake was built to provide consistency across all platforms — tablets, notebooks, desktops, workstations and servers — with its flexibility and scalability.
An Intel engineer told the tech site that more displays can be driven with GT3 or GT4 Skylake Graphics. If 4K display is equivalent to about four times the FHD resolution, it will give them the capacity to drive four to five displays.
Skylake will reportedly support DirectX 12, OpenGL 4.4 and OpenCL 2.0 standards, as it can decode multimedia formats such as JPEG, MJPEG, MPEG2, AVC, MVC, HEVC 8-bit, HEVC 10-bit, VC-1, VP8 and VP9.
In addition to the anticipated specs under the hood, Venture Capital Post reported that the MacBook Pro 2016 will be released in standard, which will feature a 13-inch display, 4GB RAM and internal storage of 128GB, and premium edition, which will sport a 15-inch display, 8GB RAM and 516GB internal storage.
Emerging online reports suggest that Apple is expected to make an official announcement before the year ends, though that speculation is yet to be confirmed.
