Vin Diesel sure is a busy man. After starring in franchise films such as "The Chronicles of Riddick" and "The Fast and the Furious," he's now preparing and raring to appear on the third "xXx" flick after sitting out on the second installment.
He announced the happy news on Instagram, much to the delight of his fans who would like to see the actor in another adrenaline pumping hard core action. "The Fast and the Furious'" Dominic Toretto wrote: "While I was filming XXX, guys on set called me Air Diesel ... The time to return has come. Filming starts December in the Philippines. #ILiveForThisS***."
Diesel was just a rising action star when Columbia Pictures released in 2002 the first "xXx" movie which eventually earned $277 million worldwide, Zap2it reported.
The spy thriller film which showcased Vin Diesel as Xander Cage, an extreme sports star who later on turned action hero gave way to a sequel in 2005, "xXx: State of the Union" that starred Ice Cube in a new character, Darius Stone. The film did not fare well as to the original and for the past ten years the franchise was thought to be dead, as per People.
In January 2014, "The Last Witch Hunter" actor posted on his Facebook page that a script for "xXx 3" was scheduled to come out the following month, and in July of the same year, he validated that the movie was in the process of getting done.
He admitted to Collider, "I am going to do the next "xXx" which will be filming in part in the Philippines, which I'm very, very, very excited about."
Comicbook.com revealed that Asia Argento and Samuel L. Jackson appeared alongside Vin Diesel and played the roles of Yelena and Agent Augustus Eugene Gibbons respectively in the first "xXx" movie.
