Protests to cripple Planned Parenthood emerged as Center for Medical Progress (CMP), an anti-abortion group, posted an undercover video of the former's executives and customers discussing the sale of babies' body parts to be used as cadavers for medical research purposes.
The said videos include the cutting of a baby's brain in order to get the brain intact, the heart of the said earthling still beating, as well as piles of baby parts being placed in pie dishes among others, Townhall reported.
According to KOB 4, citizens over 47 states have gathered outside Planned Parenthood clinics over the weekend assailing the inhumane practices of the group. In Albuquerque, a local group called "Protest ABQ" organized a mass rally to call for the removal of government funding for said women's organization. Unfortunately, Congress was unable to pass a legislation that would cut off the annual $500 million funding of the organization.
Sen. Ted Cruz, a Democratic presidential candidate, has recently embarked on what people deemed to be an "ambitious 50-state campaign" aiming to defund the organization by cutting off taxpayer support to the said group as per MSNBC. He has also called on 100,000 pastors to participate on a conference call to disendow the group.
Claiming to be affected by the horrid practice, the Texas lawmaker urged pastors through an email to pray and preach for the ceasing of the anti-life practice, CBN News said.
Meanwhile, a defensive Planned Parenthood has released an official statement regarding their decision to bring the issue to the courts. In an interview, its Executive Vice-President Dawn Laguens said that the videos are illegal and that they will seek after CMP for its fraudulent acquisition of the videos as well as its malicious presentation to the public, Townhall wrote.
A temporary restraining order has been served against CMP to prevent them from further releasing videos from their files.
