"Gotham" season 2 premiere is fast approaching, and the trailer video and photo that emerged online suggest that the sophomore season of Fox's new series will feature not just one or two but a lot of villains. Additional sneak peeks reveal that Bruce Wayne finally found Batman's future lair.
Apparently, the young Bruce Wayne, played by David Mazouz, and Alfred, played by Sean Pertwee will be featured exploring a hidden lair. Although, IGN was told that it was technically the Batcave.
What lies within that lair are clues. Mazouz said that those would reveal Thomas Wayne's secret life, and whatever it was he was trying to do before he got killed.
This discovery will reportedly change Bruce Wayne's life — his perception towards Alfred, Gotham City and his parents.
"Gotham" shared this note on its official Twitter account on Tuesday, stating, "The fireplace opens and the cave is revealed. Cut to season two." - @seanpertwee https://fox.tv/1DZ3vOA #Gotham."
"Gotham's" season 2 is definitely going to be chaotic and here's the proof.
Oh that laugh, does it sound familiar? One way or another, "Gotham" is going to cross paths with Joker and if that's going to happen, that psychotic villain is most likely going to dominate the show.
Another snap posted on the series' Twitter account showing that the villains are on the move.
Fox's series reveals the world which was never told — the origin story of DC's villains and vigilantes — according to Slash Film.
The series will also depict the life of Detective James Gordon, before he rose to Commissionership. The role is being played by Ben McKenzie, who revealed during the panel interview at Wizard World Chicago that Batman will never make an appearance until the end of the series.
"In the very last frame of the very last scene of the very last episode of the very last season of Gotham, whenever that turns out to be, that's when we'll see Bruce Wayne put on the cape and cowl," he stated, as per the report of Comic Book.
"Gotham" season 2 will return to Fox on Sept. 21 at 8 p.m.
