Katherine Jackson, mother of Michael Jackson, is not missing as recent reports have claimed. She is safe in Arizona with family members, authorities said late Sunday, one day after she had been reported missing by a relative.
Although authorities have gotten into contact with her, they do not have details about her exact whereabouts.
After reports were made that she could not be found, family members pleaded with Paris Jackson, the late pop star's daughter, to help locate her grandmother.
"I haven't spoken with her in a week I want her home now," 14-year-old Paris tweeted. The teenager later provided a number for people to contact if they had seen her grandmother. Katherine Jackson has served as guardian for Paris, Prince Michael and Blanket Jackson since their father's death three years ago.
No details have been released as to who was caring for the children while Katherine was gone.
The absence of Katherine occurred only days after five of her children claimed that the King of Pop's will was false and that executors of his property should step down.
The letter signed by Janet, Randy, Tito, Rebbie and Jermaine Jackson stated that Katherine Jackson was being swindled by the executors, John McClain and John Branca. The incident affected Katherine's health and she suffered a mini-stroke.
