‘Scream Queens’: 4 Interesting Things Fans Should Know Ahead Of Fox Killer Comedy Series’ Premiere This Fall

"Scream Queens" fans rejoice! The premiere of the promising Fox thriller comedy is just around the corner. The horror the blood and screams will definitely be very intense when the show starts airing. But ahead of the series premiere, check out four interesting things that fans should know.

1. The official synopsis of the show

"Scream Queens" is another brainchild of Ryan Murphy, so it's going to be very interesting given the credentials of the show creator. This new Fox offering is set in the Kappa Kappa Tau sorority house where a string of murders will lead one to question the ulterior motive of the killer.

As per Melty, the official synopsis of "Scream Queens" reads: "Exactly two decades after Wallace University is rocked by a mysterious death, another murder takes place - and all hell breaks loos. As the investigation progresses, casualties start to pile up: anyone could be the next victim - or the villain."

2. Jamie Lee Curtis' return to the horror realm

Since the show was announced, Murphy has revealed that he wouldn't have done it if it weren't for Jamie Lee Curtis' involvement in the series. In an interview with Boston Herald, Curtis gushed about the idea of having a TV project created specially for her.

"It is rarefied air to have someone call you up and say, 'I am writing something for you.' It's only happened to me a few times and it's not happened to people sometimes ever," she was quoted as saying by the publication. "This is the third time in many, many years that someone has called me and said, 'I'm writing something for you.' Right away, it makes you feel like you have something to offer that somebody wants. That feeling is very unique and very special. To have a great writer call you up and say, 'I have this show and I'd like for you to star in it with Emma Roberts and ...'"

3. Lea Michele's character somehow mirrors her "Glee" role

"Glee" alum Lea Michele is finally heading back to the small screen after the successful run of Murphy's musical series. When "Glee" started, Michele's Rachel Berry was pretty much an outcast. In "Scream Queens," she is bound to have the same fate while playing Hester, who is said to be a girl struggling to fit in the sorority.

Michele describes her character as someone who is "certainly not put together." According to Melty, Hester has a neck brace and does not really fit in the sorority in terms of fashion sense. While Hester mirrors Rachel in some aspects, it's hard to miss that Lea's new role could either be the victim or the killer in the horror-comedy series. However, the actress assured fans that the show will offer comedy. "The script is so hilarious that I think it really requires for people that are able to do that kind of comedy, that requires making sure that it's smart and witty and doesn't go too over the top."

4. Is Ryan Murphy the killer?

The show is bound to give us the creeps when it airs this fall, but it's pretty clear that viewers will not learn the identity of the killer until the show wraps up, or perhaps we already know who the killer is based on Ariana Grande's wild guess when she said, "I think the killer is Ryan Murphy."

Ryan recently said, as per Cosmopolitan, that no one among the cast members were able to guess who the real killer is. "None of them have been right, which makes me very happy," he said. "In the pilot, it's very clear to me who it is. When the killer's unmasked at the end, you'll be able to rewatch and be like, 'Oh, yeah.'" Well, it could be anyone in the cast, but in a technical sense, Murphy is the killer since he has the say on who is going to get killed in the show and who is staying for the next season. Meanwhile, many are claiming that it could either be the original scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis or "SNL" alum Nasim Pedrad.

"Scream Queens" is premiering with a two-hour pilot episode on Sept. 22. More details will be available in the coming days, so stay tuned.
