Justin Timberlake, "Mirrors" singer, and his wife, "Total Recall" actress Jessica Biel, will be receiving an inspiration award from Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network (GLSEN).
The organization exclusively confirmed with People that the couple is to be honored at their annual Respect Awards, in October, for their works with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community.
Dr. Eliza Byard, executive director of GLSEN, told the entertainment site in a statement that Timberlake and Biel were vocal and committed allies of the LGBT. They were also devoted to charitable works that will enhance the lives of youth.
"[They] have consistently been visible and committed allies," Dr. Byard added.
Timberlake dated Biel in January 2007, after ending his three-year relationship with "Charlie's Angels" actress Cameron Diaz in December 2006. The Hollywood couple got engaged in December 2011 and tied the knot on October 19, 2012.
After more than two years of being married, the couple was blessed with a son, Silas Randall Timberlake, who was born in April.
The couple has been a long-time supporter of LGBT and advocate of gender equality, according to MTV News. Timberlake has always been open about his views towards marriage equality.
That was why the former NSYNC member performed his hit song "Señorita" at the same-sex wedding of Biel's friends. And to prove that their family believes in equality, the couple reportedly hired gay nannies to look after their son.
The awards will take place at Beverly Wilshire in Los Angeles on Oct. 23. According to Variety, this year's co-hosts are "Magic Mike XXL star" Matt Bomer and husband Simon Halls.
"Grey's Anatomy" actress Jessica Capshaw and husband Christopher Gavigan, who co-founded The Honest Company with Jessica Alba, will also host the awards nights.
The other hosts listed were Greg Berlanti, Jonathan Rollo and Joey Gonzalez, Edison Briones, Brad Bessey and Frank Sanchez, Jess Cagle, Kevin Brockman and Dan Berendsen, Ben Spector, Mike Irvin, Richard Konigsberg and Craig Olsen, George Kotsiopoulos, Michael Lombardo and Sonny Ward, Terry Clark, Donald De Line, Mimi Slavin and Corey Palent.
