"Nashville" will return to ABC for its 4th season, where fans will get to see rock meet country music. There are also rumors surrounding Luke's new love life and thoughts on Deacon's possible death.
Yes, rock is coming to "Nashville." Aerosmith's frontman, Steven Tyler, will be making an appearance in the show's upcoming season.
Tyler reportedly has started filming his scenes. His excitement was quite obvious as he shared this on-set snap with cast Hayden Panettiere on Twitter, captioned, ".@haydenpanettier AND I GETTING A LITTLE "CRAZY" ON SET AT @Nashville_ABC YOU WONT WANT TO MISS THIS......#PATSYCLINE"
Tyler's rep already confirmed the rock star's appearance on the show, Ace Showbiz learned. However, it wasn't revealed on which episode.
Moving on to Luke Wheeler's love life, there are speculations that he might get tangled with Gabriella, a consultant he hired for Will, played by Chris Carmack, after he came out as gay.
Wheeler, played by Will Chase, had a rough season 3 — a shambolic breakup with Connie Britton's Rayna, followed by an almost-there-romance with Laura Benanti's Sadie and a fling with Christina Aguilera's Jade.
Gabriella, which is one of the new characters according to International Business Times, is just one of the possible options to be Wheeler's girlfriend. "Nashville" showrunner Dee Johnson teased Aguilera's possible return to reprise her role, but nothing really has been confirmed.
Fans may not know for now. However, one way or another, according to Johnson, Wheeler will have a love interest.
Another side of the story is Deacon's frightening situation. Fans already knew that he underwent an operation after he was diagnosed with cancer.
Season 3, however, left a huge situation hanging when one of them flatlined during the operation. Fans now clamour if Charles Esten's character will die.
In fact, there is an ongoing poll on Fashion & Style if fans think Deacon will survive.
There were speculations and hints on why there shouldn't be any deaths, especially Deacon's. But one thing that's worth noting was Johnson's statement with TVLine, "A flatline doesn't necessarily mean somebody doesn't get resuscitated. I'm just putting that out there."
All of our questions will be answered when "Nashville" returns. Season 4 premieres on Sept. 23.
