Alison Sweeney, "The Biggest Loser's" homegrown host has bid her goodbye to the reality competition after 8 years. Who could be the possible replacement? Let's find out.
"After an incredible run together, Alison Sweeney will not be returning as host of 'The Biggest Loser' next season," according to the show's production, cited from The Hollywood Reporter.
Sweeney hosted the show since 2006 for 13 seasons. Preceeding her was the comedienne Caroline Rhea, who handled three seasons. Aside from her stint in "The Biggest Loser," Sweeney is famously known as one of the prime cast members of the daytime soap "Days of Our Lives."
Apart from Sweeney, trainer Jillian Michaels also departed from the show. Meanwhile, Bob Harper and Dolvet Quince will be returning this season.
Since Sweeney has been a prominent host of the reality competition, which aims at thoroughly losing weight, she shared her own experiences that she learned for the whole duration of her stay in "The Biggest Loser."
"I realized that getting in shape was about so much more than fitting into a certain size," The Daily Mail noted.
But then, who will replace Sweeney as host for the show? The production is still keeping the answer under the wraps. Fans might need to wait a bit more before the show make the announcement.
This, however, will not be the end of Sweeney's busy career. According to Perez Hilton, she will star and produce a Hallmark upcoming movie dubbed as "Love on the Air" which premieres next month. Additionally, her second movie, "Murder - She Baked" will be featured on the Movies and Mysteries channel in November.
Not just in movies and television series, her career in writing has been noted as well. Sweeney's third novel "Opportunity Knocks" is said to be published by 2016.
