"Grey's Anatomy" fans are having a countdown as they await Season 12. Thursday nights would mean sitting in front of the TV with a bowl of popcorn and a couple of tissues just in case the drama would be too much to bear. "Grey's Anatomy" has a penchant for unexpected endings and a lot of characters have been already killed off.
Remember McSteamy aka Mark Sloan and Lexie Grey? Of course, avid MerDer followers were totally devastated when Derek was written off. The question in everybody's mind now is how she copes with McDreamy's death.
Now that is something to look forward to ABC's hit medical drama. In the show's official Facebook page, new doctors are coming in to Grey Sloan Memorial as evidenced from photos of Dr. Jo Wilson sandwiched by two good looking interns. Wonder what will be their roles in the storyline for "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12? Another snap was posted of a new character sticking out his tongue while striking a pose with Dr. Arizona Robbins, Dr. Alex Karev and Dr. Ben Warren.
Ellen Pompeo's Dr. Meredith Grey on the other hand, was seen in a recent image sporting a baffled look on her face while in her pajamas. She's glaring at both Drs. Maggie Pierce and Amelia Shepherd, apparently her new roommates.
International Business Times reported creator Shonda Rhimes mentioned that one of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 storylines will center on Meredith's new and cramped living arrangements. In her conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, she said that Mer would live together with her long lost half-sister and sister-in-law, which explains why they're snapped in a photo together.
Rhimes disclosed, "Right now it's very funny. Those three women are very different and don't have very much in common, which is fantastic. Meredith needs support right now and she is related to them. She doesn't necessarily need to like them to love them and be in a house with them. It's a fascinating dynamic — it's family."
Catch "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 on ABC on Sept. 24.
