'Frozen 2' Directors Reveal Plot Updates; Will Elsa Turn Into A Villain?

"Frozen 2" will definitely come back on the big screen and although it will take some time before fans would get to see the sisters Elsa and Anna, the co-directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee have dropped some hints as to how the movie would develop throughout its production.

While there is still no surefire detail on the movie's plot, MTV News has reported that the strong female leads, sisters Elsa and Anna, would still be the focus of the sequel to Disney's highest grossing animated film of all time. Issues that are faced by girls and boys of all ages would be a primary consideration in the plot.

"When the kids watch them, they watch them over and over again, and if we don't have a decent message in there, I think we've missed an opportunity," Buck said.

Meanwhile, The Telegraph has said that several characters and themes used in "Frozen" would be brought back in the sequel in order to keep the connection between the two films.

As "Frozen's" heartfelt and catchy songs have greatly contributed to the film's success, its follow up is also expected to comprise colorful numbers from the characters in expressing their emotions and further introducing their respective nature and individuality throughout the movie's plot.

A duet between Elsa and Anna is also being anticipated to be Frozen 2's "Let It Go." Christopher Beck, Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson Lopez will also come back to write and arrange songs for the sequel.

Olaf, the friendly snowman brought to life by Elsa's ice powers would be coming back, this time, possibly with a love interest to keep him busy while Elsa runs Arendelle and Anna spends her time with Kristoff.

On the other hand, Movie Pilot has suggested a slightly harsh but possible spin-off that is Elsa being completely vilified after, again, feeling abandone by Anna who is now with Kristoff. Whether this will be one of the surprises "Frozen 2" will be answered when the animated film comes out in 2018.
