Air Jordan 11, arguably the most sought-after iteration of the Air Jordan line, has gotten a reptilian make-over and is now set to arrive this September.
As reported by Sneaker News, the Air Jordan 11 IE Low "Snakeskin" has made sneakers fans excited for its arrival. This alternate incarnation of Michael Jordan's 11th signature pair has experienced a resurgence in part of the growing sneaker culture all around the world.
But fans are still speculating what the "IE" on the name stands for, leading many to spout their own interpretation.
The Air Jordan 11 IE Low has replaced the usual patent leather and substituted it with "elephant print" or in this case, snakeskin.
But this is not the first time the Air Jordan 11 experienced the snakeskin treatment. Just last summer, many fans grabbed a pair of the Retro Low Green Snake color way.
As reported by Sneaker News, many can't get over the design as a mid-top version of the pair is making rounds online. Unfortunately, it would seem that the Retro High Green Snake color way would not hit the shelves anytime soon.
Another Air Jordan 11 "Snakeskin" has also surfaced. However, unlike the colorful shiny green texture of the other pair, it has been replaced by a full matte black leather. Accented with black mesh upper and gold detailing on the Jumpman logo, the shoe sports a black translucent outsole.
Unfortunately, no matter how cool they look, multiple sources have claimed that the black snakeskin Air Jordan 11 is an unauthorized pair, the Sneaker Bar Detroit has learned.
Frustrated fans however, can get their "Snakeskin" fix with this upcoming Air Jordan 11 IE Low as it was reported that it will hit stores this Sept. 19. Get the green Air Jordan 11 "Snakeskin" for $350 on Flight Club and from $389–$439 on Amazon. Meanwhile, the Air Jordan IE Low "Snakeskin" is expected to be valued at $170.
