It was recently revealed that Lady Gaga will take on a new career as an actress.
On Thursday, director Robert Rodriguez announced that Gaga will star in his film "Machete Kills," playing Lady Chameleon.
"I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills," Rodriguez tweeted. "She kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!"
Soon after Lady Gaga followed up with a tweet of her own saying, "Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress in the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @RODRIGUEZ," Gaga tweeted. "IM SO EXCITED!!! AH! Filming was insane."
Not much is known about Gaga's character, however the singer did share a photo of herself wearing a blonde wig with a white wolf around her body, and holding a smoking gun.
Gaga joins a cast of stars including Mel Gibson, Sofia Vergara, Jessica Alba, and Zoe Saldana.
"Machete Kills" is a sequel to Rodriguez's "Machete"which released two years ago.
The film is expected to come out next year, making 2013 a busy time for the singer, as she is also expected to drop a new album at that time.
