Despite his noticeable absence from the public's eye, Rob Kardashian's weight loss has continuously stirred some buzz. Now, Kris Jenner's son seemed ready to make a major comeback to the spotlight by sharing his first-ever and slimmer selfie on Instagram on Sunday night.
Ever since Rob Kardashian's depression and weight gain problems became a major issue to the infamous Kardashian clan, the 28-year-old reality star has been reclusive. But on Aug. 30, he posted a selfie on Instagram, which was accompanied by the word "Gnight" as caption, appeared to be a proof of his weight loss commitment following his lengthy battle against weight gain and depression, New York Daily News noted.
Kardashian's latest social media post, which has already earned 170,000 likes, came after he gained more than 100 pounds in just a year. The weight gain was one of the reasons why he's hiding and missing out several major family events. While it's still unsure whether his latest Instagram selfie was a throwback pic or not, it simply proved his rigorous workouts with sister Kim Kardashian are indeed paying off, People reported.
"His regimen involves more than just cardio and weights," the source told E! News. While personal trainer-to-the-stars Gunnar Peterson said that he's been working with Kardashian lately. "Rob is always in!" he said. "He's slammed schedule-wise and still makes this work."
With his latest Instagram selfie, will Rob Kardashian finally make a comeback into the limelight? His mom Kris Jenner and his sister Khloe Kardashian have shared their thoughts about Rob's struggles.
"Rob is living in L.A. right now and he's doing well, finding out what makes him tick and struggling with some stuff," Jenner explained earlier this summer. "My job is to be there for him and to love him as hard as I can. Everybody goes through stuff."
While Khloe said she's really proud of her baby brother. "Right now I'm really proud of him. He's been working out a little and trying to get his groove back," Khloe noted. "And he acknowledges it! He's aware that he's very introverted and of course not the way he used to be. I think being aware is probably the best thing."
Over a year ago, Rob Kardashian became recluse when his weight ballooned. According to Daily Mail, he went from a fit cover boy to an out-of-shape man reeling on the edge of obesity after a painful split with British songbird Rita Ora in 2012.
