Prince Harry, who has recently been rumored to be dating "Doctor Who" star Jenna Coleman, confessed that missing Princess Charlotte's christening almost two months ago is still giving him a hard time because of feeling guilty.
Since June, 30-year-old Prince Harry has been doing volunteering work in Namibia to protect lions, elephants and rhinos from poachers. That's why, he missed Princess Charlotte's christening. But aside from the christening, he also missed the birth of his brother second child since he was stationed in Australia and New Zealand, E! News has learned.
Due to his very hectic schedule, Prince Harry only met his niece when she was three-weeks old, which took place at Prince William and Kate Middleton's 10-bedroom residence in Norfolk, England. And since he missed a very significant day in Princess Charlotte's life, he joked about being a bad uncle.
"What a bad uncle I am!" he jested, as per Hello! Magazine. "I should really be there. But today I am here, this is where I want to be."
On July 5, Princess Charlotte was christened at the 16th century Church of St. Mary Magdalene on the Sandringham estate in Paddington, London, Us Weekly noted. The ceremony was presided by The Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Reverend Justin Welby, who also personally baptized the princess.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry's dating history has always intrigued the royal watchers. And Inquisitr reported that the royal prince has been dating 29-year-old Brit actress Jenna Coleman. The rumored couple, who have met in 2013, have been spotted together in several occasions in the past. Even Harry's father Prince Charles and stepmother Camilla Parker-Bowles reportedly adored the actress, Ok! Magazine revealed.
Harry and Coleman's coziness, however, has been allegedly blown out of proportion by avid royal watchers. In fact, the two never intended to take their friendly chat any further.
"They were just two people on a night out chatting," a source said. "Jenna was honored to meet Prince Harry, but the pictures make their chat look more intimate than it was."
While his brother, Prince William, has been enjoying his family life with wife Kate Middleton and their two adorable children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, Prince Harry admitted he, too, wanted to have kids of his own.
"There comes times when you think now is the time to settle down, or now is not, whatever way it is, but I don't think you can force these things. It will happen when it's going to happen," he said. "Of course I would love to have kids right now, but there's a process that one has to go through."
Aside from his thoughts about having a family, Prince Harry also gave a rare glimpse of his life.
"I have to go along with the way my life is, and in many ways I'm very privileged," the royal hunk said, as Vogue quoted. "It's how things are and I know what I have to do. But I want to spend time out here regularly, it's become really precious to me and I'm learning a lot."
