Are there any similarities between Kate Gosselin and Justin Bieber? Well, many people took to Twitter to post side-by-side pics of Bieber, taken during the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, and Gosselin, taken in 2009 to see the similarities between them while sporting the same hairstyle.
During Sunday's VMA, Justin Bieber's shaggy side-swept blonde fringe, he was immediately compared to reality star Kate Gosselin. Due to his similar hairstyle to Gosselin's trademark hairdo six years ago, the two were hilariously compared as twins on social media. And the 40-year-old TLC star, who has sported long hair over the past few years, has retweeted several posts, E! News noted. How did she react? Well, she seemed to be cool about it.
"I do see some resemblance to my former hairstyle - Justin's is a current take on it, yes!" Kate Gosselin responded, as per Daily Mail. "And it's okay, he can have it!"
Gosselin even praised the 21-year-old Canadian pop singer after he poked fun at himself with a side-by-side comparison of them on Instagram.
"I love the fact that he's willing to laugh at himself with this post because that shows signs of maturity," she added. "You have to be comfortable enough to take what people say about you and laugh. He did, and so thumbs-up, Justin!"
The mom-of-eight, Kate Gosselin, who rose to fame on TLC's "Jon and Kate Plus 8" that debuted in 2007, also revealed that her children were beyond thrilled when they found out that Bieber posted the pic of her.
"To top it off, Mady found his Instagram at the same time as I did this morning - on the bus on the way to school, no less," Gosselin revealed, as Us Weekly quoted. "Her response was, 'MOTHER, WHAT THE HECK?' in all caps, which I interpreted as approval and excitement!"
Kate Gosselin, who was married to Jon for 10 years, have eight children together - 14-year-old twin daughters Cara and Madelyn and 11-year-old sextuplets including sons Aaden, Collin, and Joel, and daughters, Leah, Alexis, and Hannah. And since their family's reality show in 2007, she has appeared on several spinoffs. She also joined ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" in 2010 and on "Celebrity Apprentice" this 2015.
Justin Bieber, on the other hand, made an epic 2015 MTV VMA comeback through an emotional performance of "Where Are You Now" and "What Do You Mean?" medley. As previously reported, it was his first time in five years. And this time he was not booed, instead he wowed the crowd with his spirited dance routines.
