“The Vampire Diaries” resident witch, actress Kat Graham recently celebrated her birthday over the weekend and posted on Instagram a photo which showed her support for migrants. In case you didn’t know, she’s involved in United Nations’ humanitarian efforts in Syria’s war torn areas.
Kat Graham (nee Katerina Alexandre Hartford Graham) who plays the powerful witch Bonnie Bennett, Elena Gilbert’s BFF and the other half of Team Bamon, in CW network’s vampire hit TV series turned 26 last Sept. 5.

Born in Geneva, Switzerland, Kat is eloquent in Portuguese, French, Spanish and Hebrew. Her best pals are co-stars Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder.
According to IMDb, before making waves in “The Vampire Diaries,” Kat Graham has appeared in several films as Katerina Graham. She has starred alongside Lindsey Lohan in the 1998 film, “The Parent Trap” and with Zac Efron in “17 Again” in 2009.
She has also appeared in a couple of TV series such as “Lizzie McGuire,” “Malcolm in the Middle,” “The O.C.,” “CSI” and “Hannah Montana.”
Aside from acting in the small and big screen, Kat also sings. Her debut album Roxbury Drive is set to come out in Sept. 25, as per her official Facebook page. Her latest single “Secrets” featuring Babyface has yet to be released but check out the lyric video made by Roi Hernandez below.
Further on, in the light of the recent migrant crisis in Europe, “The Vampire Diaries” Kat Graham took to Instagram and posted a meaningful photo of her hugging a young migrant boy with the caption: “Thank you to everyone who donated to @unrefugees It is my life mission to stand with them, support them, empower them. I miss them everyday I am away from them…”
