Ever since the big "A" reveal in "Pretty Little Liars" Season 6 summer finale, fans are left wanting for more. And since there are still a lot of unexplained events in the hit ABC Family teen mystery drama, its second half of the season is expected to offer more interesting twists.
Just recently, "Pretty Little Liars" executive producer Marlene King dropped clues about the upcoming return of the show in January through her Twitter account. So, here are 5 interesting things we've learned that "PLL" fans should watch out for as King hinted.
1. "Pretty Little Liars" Season 6B will feature a time-jump, International Business Times revealed.
When "PLL" returns next year, fans will see more mature Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer as the series continues with a five-year time jump. As seen on its teaser promo, the girls all move on from A's torment, went on separate ways, entered college and established their careers. Though with time and distance apart, they stay connected through social media.
2. There will be an engagement and a wedding in "Pretty Little Liars" Season 6B, Vine Report noted.
As Hanna went to New York and now engaged, will fans get to see her wedding? According to showrunner Marlene King, Hanna's engagement may or may not be with Caleb and the wedding will not necessarily be Hanna's.
"I can't say who it's to," King said while refusing to divulge specific details, as E! Online reported. "It might be Caleb, it might not be. A lot can happen in five years."
3. "Pretty Little Liars" Season 6B will tackle a new "big bad" character as well as a new mystery with the "twin twist" theory, as per Movie News Guide.
Despite the Big "A" reveal during the first half finale, a new "big bad" character will be introduced in the show and the girls will also solve an upcoming mystery with a "twin twist" theory.
"There is a reason why we keep dropping not-so-subtle clues about the twins, so I would say wait for it," King said. "You're not going to see Courtney, but you may see a double of someone."
4. Alison's husband is rumored to be Rosewood's newest villain, Design & Trend has learned.
In the last few scenes of the finale, Alison becomes a Rosewood teacher who goes by the name Mrs. Rollins. But rumors have it that her husband, Dr. Rollins, a certain psychologist who might be introduced as series' newest villain.
5. Following "Pretty Little Liars" Season 6B is the show's seventh season, which is reportedly the show's last, as stated by The Hollywood Reporter.
"There's a new mystery and a new story that starts up when we come back in the next episode, and that story will most likely end at the end of season seven," King said. "So it's a great final, gigantic mystery twist - I think it's the biggest we've ever had. And that feels like season seven is probably a good time to end that story. But we'll see - we have a little time to play with it. But we're definitely moving in that direction."
Meanwhile, "Pretty Little Liars" Season 6B will debut on Jan. 6, 2016 on ABC Family.
