"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is almost here. Well, sooner than you think because Lucasfilm just announced that the movie premiere for the new "Star Wars" would be a day earlier than previously announced.
According to BBC, it has been confirmed that the UK release for the upcoming movie will be on December 17, instead of the previous December 18 release date.
This means UK-based fans will get to enjoy the hit sci-fi movie earlier than other parts of the world. The announcement was confirmed on the official Star Wars UK Facebook and Twitter,
Interestingly, the countdown has already begun because the flick will hit cinemas 99 days from now Sept. 9.
As reported by the iDigital Times, fans have been treated with a couple of trailers and promotional images but other than that, the info is close to nil.
But as the premiere grows closer and closer, more images of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" have begun to appear.
The focus of the images usually centers on the new characters that new and longtime fans of the movie will meet for the first time. The good news is, familiar faces like Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, C-3PO and R2-D2 and Chewbacca will all be appearing in the new movie.
Coming from Lestoilesheroiques, a range of new promotional images have been leaked, showing a handful of characters from "The Force Awakens."
But that's not the only good news. According to Screen Rant, fans will also get a treat of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" Special Edition 3D glasses.
Lucasfilm, Disney and RealD have partnered and announced a series of special edition, character-themed 3D glasses.
The 3D glasses will be of course distributed to moviegoers seeing the film. Among the designs available will be the BB-8, Captain Phasma, Kylo Ren and the ever-popular Stormtrooper design.
