'Kingdom Hearts 3' News And Updates: Game Designer Releases New Game Details, Leaks 'Kingdom Hearts 2.9' On LinkedIn Profile

Details on the upcoming "Kingdom Hearts 3" have been released by someone claiming to be a Square Enix employee, alongside details of what could have been "Kingdom Hearts 2.9" on the PS3 and PS4, KH13 has learned.

In his LinkedIn profile, Richard W. VanDeventer listed down development details on "Kingdom Hearts 3" for the PS4 and Xbox One as part of his professional experience.

VaDeventer's list suggests, among other things, that a Gummi Ship system will be implemented in the game and that Pixar may be involved in the game's development.

According to Destructoid, the "Kingdom Hearts" series has yet to feature a world from Pixar despite being owned by Disney for well over a decade.

IGN has previously reported that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will feature a world based off of "Big Hero 6," an animated feature film released by Walt Disney Animation Studios.

VaDeventer's list also suggests that the online multiplayer concept and massive in-game worlds game, mentioned by director Tetsuya Nomura in a GameZone report, may also be happening.

The list also includes details on "Kingdom Hearts 2.9," which GameZone said was first seen briefly on Square Enix's E3 presentation schedule but was later quietly removed.

GameZone is unsure what "Kingdom Hearts 2.9" is, and speculated that it is either a cancelled game or a combined rerelease of "Kingdom Hearts 1.5 ReMIX" and "Kingdom Hearts 2.5 ReMIX."

According to VaDeventer's list, work has already been done on game planning, balancing, and checking. It also suggests that the game was developed for the PS3 and PS4.

VaDeventer's professional experience, according to his LinkedIn profile, include working for GameRepublic as a game programmer until 2010, for CapCom as game designer until 2013, and for Square Enix as game director until 2014 and as game designer until June of this year.

He also lists involvement in games like "Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z" and "Knights Contract."

IGN warned to be cautious, as the profile only has two links and may be a fake account created to spread rumors.
