Stephen Curry visited China for the second time and this time as the reigning Most Valuable Player for NBA after the Golden State Warriors made it to the top and as the champion for this year's season. The visit was for Curry's China Tour for the Global launch of his second signature shoes, The Curry Two, with US Sportswear Brand Under Armour where Curry was signed up to be a Brand Ambassador in 2013.
The Curry Two is named Iron Sharpens Iron and will hit the stores globally on October 24, 2015 and will have a retail price around $130, according to Foot Wear News.
Included in his Beijing tour is to have a closer look at the China's Terracotta Warriors, and just like any other foreigner, Curry was strongly impressed by the Chinese cultural icon.
During the fan-interactive activity on Sunday in the same event, a Chinese fan gave a helmet to Curry as a gift and, without any hesitation, he wore it.
He also showed off his shooting skills in a 3-point shoutout with four selected fans to play against him. He then gave them signed sneakers and t-shirts.
Curry said in an interview, "I came back with championship this time, and I can see the passion of Chinese fans to Basketball is growing," as reported by China Daily.
After the fan session, he headed to Tsinghua University High School for a training session with the University basketball players where he was beaten by a 12-year-old girl and a high school basketball player.
As reported by The Post Game, Curry did a little showboating when handling the ball, and his inattentive defense wasn't enough to shut down budding basketball talent. The girl made some tough layups and displayed some legitimate on-court prowess, which was good enough to wow the crowd.
The Beijing Tour went well with Chinese fans overjoyed and pleased with the MVP's visit.
