Fans will still have to wait until "Doctor Strange" debuts in theaters on Nov. 4, 2016. But latest spoilers about the upcoming Marvel movie are getting more interesting, hinting the appearance of Scarlet Witch will lead to the connection of the "Avengers" and "Doctor Strange" realms.
Until now, it is still unclear if how much of the comic book details will make it to the movie adaptation of "Doctor Strange." And the report about how the second installment in Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) could connect to the rest of the Avengers, has left so many avid fans baffled, Venture Capital Post noted.
Based on the article published by Cinema Blend, Scarlet Witch a.k.a. Wanda Maximoff, who possesses mystical abilities such as telekinesis, mental manipulation, psionic energy and telepathy, was believed as one of the characters who could play a vital role to a connection between the world of the Avengers and Doctor Strange's supernatural realm.
MCU's Phase Three is rumored to bring in and explore the hidden world of alternate dimension, magic and the paranormal. Scarlet Witch will be making an appearance in the first film in Phase Three "Captain America: Civil War" and in "Avengers: Infinity War Part 1" in 2018. It was previously speculated that Doctor Strange may also make a cameo in the latter film.
Meanwhile, there are three specific villains that could be shown in "Doctor Strange" movie as based on the comic book series. According to Movie Pilot, the movie's antagonist are — Dornammu, a powerful character who comes from the dark Dimension seeking to conquer worlds; Yandroth, the alien image and scientist whose aim is worldly destruction. And lastly, Dr. Charles Benton, Dr. Stephen Strange's former colleague who sold his soul in exchange of powers that could match the Sorcerer Supreme.
All the villains aforementioned above have only pointed out one actor's name that fans are eager to see playing the roles and it's none other than, "Hannibal" star Mads Mikkelsen. Unfortunately, his possible involvement for Marvel's upcoming live-action adaptation has not been confirmed yet, Variety revealed.
Meanwhile, "Doctor Strange" lead actor Benedict Cumberbatch is currently making headlines after he criticized the British government's response regarding the refugee crisis. He also made an appeal on behalf of Save the Children charity, in order to raise funds to support refugee children, Time noted.
"As people watching this tragedy unfold from the safety of our homes, with our safe children, we want to say that we see you, we hear you and help is coming," Cumberbatch said at the end of his introduction, as per Daily Mail.
