"Destiny 2.0" has just been released. Serving as a polished version of the game rather than a sequel, Bungie's "Destiny 2.0" aims to correct the flaws of the first game.
However, fans are not too happy. As reported by the Tech Times, a handful of players are complaining that they have issues downloading the game, especially since it was not something they expected, given the anticipation.
"Destiny 2.0" is the first major update for the popular first-person shooter since it's exactly a year ago. One player exlaimed "Hour 6!!! Six hours still at 69 percent. This is unacceptable,"
The game is reportedly a staggering 17 GB update that unfortunately frustrated the fans downloading the famous game. Bungie however, acknowledged the concerns but they have yet to take action — and fans are not happy at all.
According to Wired, despite the game's major overhaul, the upgrade may be a lost cause. The game's first version was criticized before for its rather incoherent narrative and daunting gameplay.
"Destiny's" world was described by Wired writer Jake Muncy to be "..Breath-taking but empty, and most of the game's encounters are constrained and dull."
As reported by Kotaku, the reception of "Destiny 2.0" is a mixed bag. Described as both "exciting and frustrating," the game mostly feels like a set up to an even bigger release. And they're right as it's actually a precursor to "Destiny's" update, "The Taken King."
But it does include a handful of great upgrades such as quicker ways to get to level 34. Among those are playing "Crucible" or doing a handful of quests.
The player also now has the choice to take more bounties as the update have also added additional space. Also those eager to skip a cut scene can now do so with just a tap of a button.
"Destiny's The Taken King" will be released on September 15.
