The 2016 Honda Civic's release date is just around the corner since the Japanese automaker is debuting the 10th-generation model to of its worldwide bestselling car in the United States this Wednesday. So what can we expect from the new Civic?
Some photos of the 2016 Honda Civic got leaked late last week when the sedan was photographed in Michigan. The snaps of the new Civic was uploaded on CivicX, and from the looks of it, the new model sports more defined boomerang tail lights that add to the sleekness of its sportier design.
The 2016 Honda Civic's headlights are said to be full LED and they have been minimally altered that, the headlights, go well with the car's unique design.
DigitalTrends even noted that the new Civic appears to be more upscale and distinguished than all of the versions that came before it. Since the leaked photos are that of the sedan model only, consumers have something to look forward to this winter since the automaker is releasing its coupe and possibly the other variants around that time.
The 2015 Honda Civic gives up to 31 MPG in the city and 41 on the highway, so loyal Honda consumers are hoping for the 2016 version to keep the same mileage or offer even more. The much-anticipated car is also reported to come with turbo engine technology for the U.S. market, as per PRNewswire.
Honda's new Civic, which will be unveiled at the New York Auto Show, is expected to hit the market with a reasonable price range that's playing somewhere near $20,000. So far, AutoBlog has learned through the 10th Civic Forum that the 2016 Civic Sedan will market at $18,680 for its base model, and that's $190 more than the 2015 version.
As for the 2016 model with SE upgrades, the price is said to be at $19,995, while the EX and the EX-L versions could go on sale for $21,200 and $22,885, respectively.
The 2016 Honda Civic is set to debut this Wednesday night at 6:15 p.m. PDT, with a live stream available for car enthusiasts via Honda's YouTube channel.
