"Scandal" Season 5 is premiering soon and gladiators are already anticipating an exciting and action-packed season ahead. The Kerry Washington starrer ended with a bang in Season 2's finale but left a lot of questions on show fans' minds. Below are 5 questions that the show will hopefully answer this fall 2015.
1. Are Olivia and Fitz back together?
"Scandal" Season 4 already gave away the answer to this one, so gladiators will not really be surprised when Olitz rekindle their romance in the premiere episode of the upcoming season entitled "Heavy is the Head."
Who could even forget that scene when President Fitz found his way to the Truman balcony were Olivia was? While Kerry Washington's character's reunion with the president is greeted with a lot of smiles and blushes from show fans, the Shonda Rhimes' series will prove to be as complicated as what it has always been when their rekindled romance between the two goes rocky. "They're magic together, but not so much when they step outside the bubble of their affair. The pressures are very, very rough," actor Tony Goldwyn was quoted as saying by Yahoo TV.
2. Is Fitz considering divorcing Mellie?
The finale of the previous season shed light on how Bellamy Young's Mellie has been an asset to Rowan Pope. The former even revealed the names of the B-613 jurors to the latter. Since Fitz found out about Mellie's traitor ways, he may be dropping the "d-word" on Mellie when the show returns this fall.
Entertainment Weekly has learned via still photos released by ABC this week that Fitz is going to ask Mellie for divorce and end their unconventional husband-and-wife relationship. However, knowing Mellie, she may find a way to dodge this shocker that Liv's man is going to serve to her on "Scandal" Season 3 episode 1.
3. Will Liz work on a new mission?
Liz will have a lot on her plate when "Scandal" airs its pilot episode for its third season. Apart from reuniting with Fitz and dealing with the aftermath of last season's finale, she will also engage in another mission when Dearbhla Molloy's Queen of Caldonia and the latter's family arrive in the premiere storyline.
What's interesting is the leaked photos from the upcoming premiere episode suggest that Liv will get a helping hand from Liv in dealing with this mission, as per TVOverMind. The royal family's visit would open a tragic storyline, and Liv is going to be the woman of the hour as she attempts to keep controversial data of the Queen of Caldonia's family life private.
