Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has gained the approval of fans all over the world not just for her beauty but also for her immense acting prowess.
Deepika Padukone was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on January 5, 1986. Her father is Prakash Padukone, former badminton champion. Her IMDb page detailed that she has done numerous modeling stints in television advertising campaigns for brands such as Close-Up toothpaste, Liril and Limca and also in print media. She became popular in the international arena when Maybelline got her to be their cover girl image. She was also awarded Model of the Year at the Kingfisher Fashion Awards.

"Rana" - the history-action-drama movie helmed by K.S. Ravikumar has no release date yet as per IMDb and it will star Deepika Padukone alongside Rajinikanth, Sonu Sood and Ganja Karrupu.
- "Tamasha" - the comedy-drama based in France, is written and directed by Imtiaz Ali and tells the story of a nomad and a tourist in an unusual fairy tale. The unlikely couple develop a penchant for each other gradually as they set up 'Tamashas' all over the island, as per IMDb.
"Bajirao Mastani" - perhaps the most anticipated among Deepika Padukone's upcoming films, the historical-drama-romance tells the story of Peshwa Baji Rao I played by Ranveer Singh, an Indian general and his second wife, Mastani portrayed by Deepika Padukone. She shared to NDTV that filming "Bajirao Mastani" was more exhausting than "Ram Leela." The 29-year-old actress said, "It has been very difficult. It has been the toughest film of my career. I worked very hard for this film. When we did 'Ram Leela,' it was an emotionally and physically draining film, but now, 'Ram Leela' feels easy and effortless in comparison to 'Bajirao Mastani.'" She also revealed that the team had to film for 10-14 hours, did fight lessons, horse riding, dance rehearsals and dialogue session.

Furthermore, India Today detailed that Deepika Padukone was inspired by Mastani. She added, "I wish she was alive today, I wish I could meet her, see her, interact with her." "Bajirao Mastani" hits theaters in India on Dec. 18, 2015.
