"Dancing With the Stars" Season 21 has already introduced the stars to watch out for this fall season. Among the star-studded cast, Derek Hough's partner Bindi Irwin is getting a lot of attention online. And this is very evident in her "Crocodile Rock" performance that has already gathered over two million views on YouTube as of writing.
Last week, "DWTS" Season 21 premiered with a bang when it introduced on national television the stars that are going head-to-head this season. While some failed to impress the judges and the audience, others stood out with their partners and did their routines impeccably.
One of the stars who really impressed the live crowd, Julianne Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli was Bindi Irwin whose partner is five-time mirrorball trophy champ Derek Hough.
Before Irwin and Hough's routine began, a cute clip about them meeting each other was shown. Bindi once again mentioned her conservationist father and even introduced her dancing partner to a crocodile. The clip then jumped to rehearsals where the partners could be seen having a good time while practicing and playing around.
When it was time for them to dance, the 17-year-old and her pro dance partner wore matching hunter khakis until Hough removed Irwin's clothing, only to reveal a shimmering green dancing dress.
Their dance was on point, and watching Bindi doing bubbly expressions while nailing every beat of Elton John's "Crocodile Rock" was a delight to watch. Baltimore Sun even regarded Bindi as a "sweet, grounded kid" despite showing a little cleavage at the premiere of "Dancing With the Stars" Season 21.
When it came for them to finally hear what the judges have to say, Bindi and Derek were pleased with the comments the three gave to their performance. Julianne called it "the best performance of the night," while Inaba said it was "just beautiful." On the other hand, Tonioli emphasized how amazing Bindi was when he said she's "the wonder from down under."
When it came to the scores, Irwin and Hough got eight from each of the judges, giving them a total of 24 just like Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess' Cha Cha which was considered the highest scores of the premiere night, as per New York Daily News.
But the good news for Bindi does not end there. When it comes to the views the performances got on YouTube, Bindi's got the most with nearly 2.5 million views as of writing.
Just a single glance on the clips the official "Dancing With the Stars" YouTube channel uploaded would give one the idea that the Aussie conservationist outshines the rest of the contestants this season, even Nick Carter, who also got 24 from the judges. The Backstreet Boys member's performance clip only has less than 200K views. Tamar Braxton and Valentin Chmerkovskiy's Quickstep even beats Carter's with over 207K views. Kim Zolciak and Tony Dovolani's slow-mo Salsa trails behind with over 202K views.
Don't miss "DWTS" Season 21's week 2 episode this Monday night. Tune in on ABC at 8 p.m. EDT.
