'Supergirl’ 2015 UPDATE: Meet Melissa Benoist’s Kara Zor-El’s First Adversary — Red Tornado

"Supergirl" is the latest among the DC Comic characters to have a small screen debut this fall and the superhero's fans await the latest update from the CBS show.

"Supergirl" did not disappoint as CBS and Warner Bros. Television unmasked Melissa Benoist's first adversary as Kara Zor-El. Everybody, meet Red Tornado.

TV Line has learned that Israeli actor Iddo Goldberg (Salem) who portrays Dr. T.O. Morrow was also known to DC Comics enthusiasts as the inventor of an android — Red Tornado. Goldberg will not only be acting out as the scientist Morrow on the new CBS series but he will also suit up as Red Tornado. Kara Zor-El's first enemy was described by Warner Bros. as "the most advanced android the world has ever seen." He was designed by the scientist Morrow as the absolute superweapon of the U.S. Army, but he later became responsive and posed an immediate threat to National City where Supergirl's loved ones reside.

It's not yet clear if in what circumstance will Goldberg portray both Dr. Morrow and the Red Tornado. In the comics, Morrow was not Red Tornado, just the evil scientist who created the android. Red Tornado was a longtime member of the Justice League and therefore, a hero. Red Tornado mentored Young Justice when the team first got together as penned by Peter David, longtime writer of "Supergirl."

Comicbook.com reported that there's a possibility that an accident caused the two personalities to fused. It was speculated when Goldberg was revealed to become a part of "Supergirl" that his character, Dr. Morrow, could have created Red Tornado based on himself and that he would be lending his voice to the android, but the released image of Goldberg as Red Tornado showed otherwise.

Meanwhile, "Supergirl" fans will get a sneak peek of the CBS show when an all-new video clip will be played during the season 2 premiere of "Scorpion" on Sept. 21, Monday from 9-10 p.m. According to Comicbook.com, the fresh trailer will feature further footage from the pilot for the first time and will be 75 seconds long.

Joining Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El in "Supergirl" are Calista Flockhart (Cat Grant), Mehcad Brooks (James Olsen), Chyler Leigh (Alex Danvers), Jeremy Jordan , David Harewood (Hank Henshaw) and (Winslow "Winn" Schott).

In addition, Kryptonian antagonist Non, General Sam Lane (Glenn Morshower) and daughter Lucy (Jenna Dewan-Tatum) was previously announced to appear on "Supergirl."

"Supergirl" flies to your TV screen on Monday, Oct. 26 on CBS.
